Madrid Science Week is one of Europe’s major science outreach events, dedicated to making scientific knowledge and technological innovation accessible to the public.
Although known as a week, the programme actually runs for two weeks and features more than 500 activities in different locations throughout the Community of Madrid. Visitors can take part in open days, film screenings, workshops, exhibitions, lectures, guided tours and excursions.
The initiative aims to introduce audiences to a wide range of contemporary scientific topics, from energy policy to the latest developments in astronomy, communications and robotics. Around 200 organisations contribute to the festival, including foundations, universities, museums, NGOs and research centres.
