Covibar es una cooperativa de viviendas que nació siendo una gran utopía y hoy es una realidad única, principalmente por su dimensión y concepto urbanístico, por su modelo de gestión y por su proyecto social. Además tiene el orgullo de haber contribuido, como una de las pioneras desde principios de los años 80, al crecimiento y desarrollo exponencial de Rivas Vaciamadrid.A pesar de que la construcción de las 4.500 viviendas finalizó en el año 1994, la Cooperativa no se disolvió y a partir de ese momento se puso en funcionamiento un ambicioso proyecto social centrado en fomentar la cultura, el deporte y el ocio de los socios de la cooperativa y de todos los ripenses, junto con la conservación y mejora del patrimonio cooperativo.
